UR Citizens and its leaders have a better shot at reaching out to the country and have an open conversation about what works and how we can redefine how political power is apportioned in America representing interest of the people and communities and not exclusively of economic elite, power players, political establishment.
UR Citizen Project has been founded to give a voice to as many as one in three Americans - between 95 million and 120 million - have been impacted by the legal system, ranging from suspended driving licenses to incarceration in jail or prison. Impacts which, for many without skills, without social and emotional support, can negatively influence life forever. The social costs and economic losses run into the billions of dollars. UR Citizen Project is shaping itself to become a leader in the movement to give every man and woman who is willing to work hard a chance to succeed in order to break this expensive and destructive cycle. UR Citizen focuses on successful reintegration, job creation, and access to financial resources for marginalized populations placing their hopes in expending prosperity and security for themselves, their community, and the nation.
